Proactive,
professional and caring. That’s the best way
to define our approach to tree and shrub disease
management! We strive to create
an environment that prevents insect infestation. That
may be the key difference, and what provides our clients
with true peace of mind. Our knowledge gives us the
tools to understand how and why an insect problem is
occurring. Insects and diseases are often secondary
issues, and effective treatment requires attention
to the primary factors.
The Hartney Greymont approach is to keep your trees
and shrubs as healthy and vigorous as possible. A combination
of proper fertilization, pruning, mulching and watering,
contribute to allowing your trees and shrubs to use
their own natural defenses.
Our certified arborists have years of experience in caring for the health and
beauty of New England trees and shrubs and we seek out the latest, least disruptive
insect and disease management techniques. We can offer you seasonal preventive
plans, and a complete range of treatments.
The Hartney Greymont Arbor Track health care program
The aim of this plant health care concept is to keep plants as healthy and vigorous
as possible, in order to strengthen their natural defenses against insects and
diseases. Beginning in April, the Arbor Track monitor visits your property. Throughout
the entire year, the visits are timed to coincide with the insect or disease
pathogens prevalent in each particular species and varieties.
The Arbor Track program allows the use of as many biorational and natural biological
agents and controls as possible, and to “spot” treatment to help
reduce pesticide usage. Some pesticides are still used for optimal control of
some insect pests.
