Tree Pruning

Healthy, well-shaped trees and shrubs add immeasurably to the beauty of your house and yard.  It’s no secret that they can also add to your property’s value.  There are many reasons to take care of your trees.

Issues to consider begin with the baseline condition of your trees today; a good looking tree isn’t necessarily healthy.  Insufficient moisture or sunlight, insects, depleted soil and crowding are always threats.  Our certified arborists can identify problems early and deal with them by reconditioning the soil, fertilizing, or applying an anti-desiccant or insect management treatment.  We can also install cabling and bracing if required to stabilize a plant.

Strategic pruning and shaping may be indicated to enhance the health or appearance of a tree or shrub.  Here too, plants that look fine now may actually be dying.  This is often the case with shrubs that have been shaped for ornamental effects.  If there are potential problems on your property, we’ll draw them to your attention and discuss possible remedies.
Hartney Greymont has a higher percentage of certified arborists on staff than any other tree firm in Massachusetts, many with more than 20 years of experience.  We specialize in providing clear explanations and multiple options when consulting with our clients.  We are good listeners.  We guarantee our work unconditionally.

Tall TreeYou may also be concerned about the effect of major tree work on your lawn, excessive noise or a group of strangers on your property.  Rest assured we know how to minimize the impact of our work and will explain all steps to you beforehand.  Our crews have a reputation for courteous, friendly service stretching back to 1938.  Ask any Hartney Greymont client, our professionals are in a class of their own.  In fact, given that many of our people have 20 years or more on the job, chances are you’ll quickly get to know your HG crew personally.

It takes a generation to grow a new tree, but it might only take an hour or two to save one.  Consider the condition of your own trees and shrubs and, if you have any questions or concerns, please call us.  We’ll be glad to advise you at no charge.
